Blending the styles of world-class Cirque performance with Polynesian influence, Cirque Polynesia combines European-inspired pageantry with a distinct reverence to Island culture.

Reminiscent of a luau, Vili the Warrior begins the show clad in the most traditional of Polynesian garb as he turns the stage over to a diverse cast of both Island and international performers wearing the colors of their ancestry and specific talent. The bright, tight-fitting uniform of an aerialist is complemented by the natural earth tones of traditional Pacific costume, creating a unique presentation never seen before.

Perhaps the most stunning costume displays are revealed during the popular “Quick-Change” performance. With the blink of an eye, cast members dance across the stage, revealing complete changes of clothing from head-to-toe as they step in and out of curtained veils.

Defying gravity is an everyday occurrence at Cirque Polynesia!

During the Rolla Bolla, Simon Arestov balances on ever-increasing layers of rolling metal objects and cylinders while standing on a flat board. Wobbling all the way, he skips, juggles, hand-stands, and climbs until you’re convinced the whole stack is going to come down… performer and all!

Later, a pair of skilled entertainers engage each other in an intricate act of “Acro-Balance”, showcasing both strength and finesse as they bend the human body and appear to defy the very laws of physics! But feats of balance come in many forms, as Ivan Arestov demonstrates. Ivan has mastered the “Ultimate Wheels” – better known as the unicycle without a seat.

All of this agility comes to a climax as mother Rietta and daughter Lyric Wallenda work high above the stage to perform the circus-classic maneuvers of bicycle-on-a-high-wire.

Both aerial and ground acrobatics thrill audiences throughout the Cirque Polynesia experience.

Originally from Russia, cast member Alexandre Arestov is a multi-talented performer who has entertained across Europe, South America and Asia. Keeping it in the family, Elena Arestov began practicing circus acrobatics at the young age of 8 before graduating from the Moscow Circus School.

Great granddaughter to one of the most famous names in circus history, Lyric Wallenda is a 7th generation performer who began her “Flying Wallendas” career legacy at the tender age of 5. Lyric has mastered many types of aerial acts along with that for which her family is most famous, the high wire! Two generations of this fabled family perform together as she twirls her mother Rietta with one hand while suspended only by her neck in a renowned circus act known as The Perch.

The Wallendas and many other cast members have competed and earned numerous accolades across the globe, including the 2004 Monte Carlo Circus Festival’s Silver Clown Award.
